Musalia Mudavadi, the head of the Amani National Congress (ANC), has slammed Deputy President William Ruto for fielding United Democratic Alliance candidates in Vihiga County.
Mudavadi complained to Mudavadi in Sabatia on Wednesday night that Ruto’s UDA is fielding candidates on his home turf while he has avoided treading on other Kenya Kwanza principals’ lands.
In his native Luhya language, the former Deputy Prime Minister warned the people that during the August 9 General Election, Sugoi electorates would undoubtedly choose a member of Parliament and a member of the County Assembly affiliated with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to serve Ruto.
Mudavadi has cautioned his followers not to humiliate him by hosting UDA candidates in Vihiga County, where he lives.
“Let me ask you this since we are all at the top of the administration because we are in a coalition with Ruto.” But let me ask you this: will the people of Sugoi elect an ANC Member of Parliament?” Mudavadi inquired.
Finally, Mudavadi urged inhabitants of Vihiga County to vote for representatives from his ANC Party.
“Let’s just be honest with one other.” Will they elect a UDA candidate? Because, as united as we are at the top, where the government is being formed, an MP for Ruto will come from UDA, his home MCA.
