Rich Paul, an American sports agent, has responded to rumors that he and Adele are married after she referred to him as her ‘husband’ during her Las Vegas show.
The 41-year-old sports agent described how he and Adele, 35, ‘helped each other’ throughout their two-year romance.
‘She’s been amazing, I think she would agree that we absolutely supported one other,’ Rich said of his partner on CBS Mornings on Monday.
‘I’m in a good place, and so are we. Happy. She’s fantastic. She’s been fantastic for me. We’ve been wonderful to one other.’
Rich was then asked by CBS host Gayle King about rumors that he and Adele had married.
The journalist asked if she should address Adele as ‘Mrs. Paul’ the next time they spoke.
Richard was cautious, stating, ‘You can say whatever you want,’ before adding that he is not the “type of person to put [his] personal life on display.” It’s not for the press.’
It comes after Adele referred to Rich as her husband during a concert in Las Vegas in September, raising rumours that the two had married.
During the event, a woman in the audience yelled at the Rumor Has It singer, ‘Will you marry me?’ as seen in a TikTok video.
‘You are not permitted to marry me. ‘I’m gay, my love, and my husband is here tonight,’ Adele responded.
‘Can you try?’ said the fan. ‘No, I don’t want to try,’ Adele replied. I agree with Rich. You’re insane; please leave me alone.
When they were sat courtside together at an NBA game in July 2021, the couple made their relationship public for the first time.
For over a year, the Grammy winner has been wearing a pear-shaped diamond ring on her left ring finger.
When asked about it previously, she stated that it was not an engagement ring and that she simply like high-end jewelry.
At a mutual friend’s birthday celebration, she met LeBron James’ agent on the dance floor.
During an interview with Rolling Stone, she constantly praised her lover and described their relationship as the simplest she’d ever been in.
‘He’s absolutely entertaining. Oh, he’s hilarious, he’s hilarious. And extremely astute. He’s quite intelligent, you know. ‘It’s absolutely incredible watching him perform what he does,’ she remarked of Paul in 2021 on CBS.
‘It’s only a matter of timing. But it’d be interesting to see how I react to anything that hurts me now that I’m so confident in myself, and I’m not just talking about romance.’
Adele has a 10-year-old son, Angelo, with Simon Konecki, whom she married three years ago.
She announced to the audience that she was’ready to be a parent again soon.’
‘I really want to be a parent again soon,’ Adele added in a lovely encounter with one audience member.
The I Drink Wine singer then confessed to ‘making lists’ of names.
‘So, if I see a name I like, I write it down in my phone.’
