According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the Israeli forces murdered at least 140 Palestinian youngsters during their weekend onslaught on Gaza.

Following Hamas’ surprise onslaught on October 7, Israeli forces pledged to convert the Gaza Strip into “rubble,” and have launched retaliation strikes in over 200 areas around Gaza, killing over 700 civilians and injured 4,000 more.

Around 140 children are among those caught in the crossfire, according to the human rights organization Defence for Children International Palestine.

Israeli forces are stepping up air, land, and sea operations on the Gaza Strip’s mainly Palestinian civilian population, where no one and nothing is secure.’ remarked Ayed Abu Eqtaish, DCIP’s accountability program director.

‘Rather than deescalating hostilities to reduce civilian casualties, the international community is actively supporting Israeli war efforts with greater military funds and armaments, despite Israeli authorities announcing their intention to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. Systemic impunity must be abolished.’

According to DCIP, at least 140 children have been murdered by Israeli forces in direct attacks between October 7 and 10, with the figure expected to climb as more information becomes available. The ministry also posted images of some of the youngsters that were killed.

The discovery comes after claims that Hamas gunmen killed and wounded children during a weekend surprise onslaught that killed over 900 Israelis.

‘I recognize the legitimate grievances of the Palestinians,’ said UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday. But nothing can excuse these terror attacks, as well as the murdering, maiming, and kidnapping of civilians. I recognize Israel’s genuine security concerns, but I also remind Israel that civilians must always be respected and protected.’

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), over 187,000 people have fled their homes in Gaza as mass displacement grows in response to increasing Israeli assaults.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called up 300,000 army reservists and announced a ground invasion on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
