After being heckled in Nairobi County on Saturday, Deputy President William Ruto asked for the ground to open up and devour him.

The DP was campaigning in South C, where he was heckled while drumming up support for his presidential quest after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) allowed him to run in the August presidential election.

When Ruto instructed the youths to yell Kenya Kwanza, they chanted Azimio.

Despite the chants, Ruto continued his address, telling South C people that his government will bring change to the country.

He also stated that he will work with economists to lower the cost of basic commodities that have impacted ordinary people.

His running companion Rigathi Gachagua, ANC party leader Hon Musalia Mudavadi, and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, among other leaders, joined him to South C.
