Dr Priya, an Indian television personality who appeared in shows such as Karuthamuthu, has died at the age of 35, according to reports.
The late actress was claimed to have died in a private hospital after suffering from a heart arrest.
According to reports, Dr. Priya was eight months pregnant at the time, and her baby is currently being treated in the ICU (intensive care unit).
Kishor Satya, an Indian actor, announced her death on social media.
He said in an English-translated Facebook post, “One more unexpected death in the Malayalam television sector.”
“Dr. Priya died yesterday from a cardiac arrest.” She was eight months pregnant at the time. The infant is in intensive care. There were no further medical problems. Yesterday, I went to the hospital for a standard checkup. There was a sudden cardiac arrest.”
“Why did God show this cruelty to those innocent minds who are believers?” he continued. The questions kept coming back to me…. Questions remain unanswered…”
“When a person who is only 35 years old leaves this world, the mind does not allow us to say condolences,” the actor continued. How will Priya’s husband and mother survive from this calamitous event… I’m not sure…. Allow their thoughts the ability to do so…”
Dr. Priya, a doctor by profession, was one of India’s most popular actors.
According to local media, she worked at the PRS hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala’s southernmost state.
She apparently took a leave of absence from work when pregnant in order to spend more time with her family.
