Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka rejoined the Azimio One Kenya Alliance on Monday, giving former Prime Minister Raila Odinga a big boost in his presidential campaign.
Kalonzo, who was accompanied by Wiper party officials and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, said he has chosen to return to Azimio and accept the Chief Minister job given by Raila Odinga two weeks ago after consulting with various stakeholders and religious leaders.
“I’ve come to realize that our country’s destiny rests on our shoulders.” “I’ve decided to postpone my ambitions to run in the August elections,” Kalonzo remarked.
“I have listened to everyone in my attention, including the foolish and uneducated,” Kalonzo remarked.
At the same time, the Wiper party’s leader sent a letter of thanks to Kenyans who supported him when he announced his presidential ambition.
“I am a proud Kenyan standing here.” “I appreciate the support I’ve gotten from Kenyans who have signed petitions allowing me to run for president,” he stated.
