After multiple losses in the Saudi Pro League, Nuno Espírito Santo, the former coach of Tottenham, was fired by Al-Ittihad for allegedly having an argument with their top player Karim Benzema.

Al-Quwa Al-Juwiya eliminated the Portuguese coach from his AFC Champions League group after his team had lost their past five league games.

Former Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, former Celtic winger Jota, and former Liverpool player Fabinho are among the talented players in Al-Ittihad’s side. Nuno, though, has only managed to win two of their past nine games in all competitions, despite fielding a star-studded team.

Additionally, according to Revelo, Benzema and Nuno allegedly traded words in the dressing room during an ugly loss to Al-Quwa Al-Juwiya.

According to reports, the team might try to hire a French manager in order to win over Benzema.

One rumored replacement from the list of suggestions is Laurent Blanc, a former Lyon manager.
