A knifeman, enraged about their children’s wedding presents, attempted to kick his way into a residence before killing his in-law with a knife.

Mohammed Salem Ibrahim, 55, was accosted by 43-year-old Ahmad Al Sino on his doorstep, and he proceeded to attack him four times with a kitchen knife.

Just forty minutes after the murder, on Tuesday, November 7, police released video that demonstrated how they pursued Alsino throughout Birmingham and placed him under custody at gunpoint.

Following a family wedding, Al Sino and Mr. Ibrahim had a falling out over gold jewelry that had been given as gifts to their kids.

On March 13, just before 1:00 PM, Alsino repeatedly attacked Mr. Ibrahim in his Castle Vale, Birmingham, house.

He continued by stabbing Aram Ibrahim, the spouse of his daughter, who was seriously hurt but managed to survive.

Emergency personnel raced to the scene, but despite their best attempts, doctors were unable to resuscitate the father of five, Mr. Ibrahim.

Al Sino fled the scene of the knife attack, but after Mr. Ibrahim’s family notified the police, they detained him as soon as he stepped out of his car.

During a car search, a plastic bag containing two knives was discovered; forensic scientists subsequently discovered that one of the knives had Mr. Ibrahim’s blood on it.

Al Sino was previously convicted at Birmingham Crown Court after a three-week trial of murder, attempted murder, and weapon possession.

He was convicted at the same court last week and given a life sentence with a minimum 26-year sentence.

Al Sino reportedly took his expectant daughter Lylan to the residence where she and her partner got into a heated argument.

After attempting to kick the door open, he was stabbed four times, three of which went through to his chest, when Mr. Ibrahim emerged.

“You brought your pregnant daughter to Cadbury Drive to retrieve some of her belongings from the residence where she was residing with her husband Aram and the Ibrahim family,” said Judge Simon Drew KC.

While Lylan was inside the home, you waited outside the car in an irate and furious manner without trying to start a fight.

“Mohammed Ibrahim invited you inside when he left the house.” That only made things worse, you became angrier, and you turned down his request.

“You believed Lylan when she called later and said she was being attacked; consequently, you became enraged and took a knife to yourself.”

You attempted to break through the door to free her, but you were unable to do so.

Lylan, Mr. Ibrahim, and Aram were in the front hallway when the door opened.

Afterwards, you attacked Mr. Ibrahim and Aram without warning. You started with your fists and proceeded to attack them both violently, stabbing them multiple times.

“I’m convinced that when you were stabbing Mohammed, you had the intention of killing him.”

“You left the scene without calling for emergency assistance, even though you knew you had seriously injured two men.”

In this case, I have carefully listened to the victim’s personal statements.

“The entire Ibrahim family has been profoundly impacted by your deeds on that day; they fled to this country in search of safety.”

The victim’s daughter said in a statement that her father, who had left Syria, had been the target of a “barbaric and brutal” attack.

“He was a highly esteemed dentist from the Kurdish community,” she remarked.

He served as the community’s cornerstone. Along with his career, he was well-known for his wisdom, friendliness, and charity toward everyone he came into contact with.
