Tragically, a guy lost his life in a skiing accident three days after he tied the knot during his honeymoon.

On October 28, 2023, Nate and Mariana Kuhlman, both from Ohio, got married.

During their honeymoon, they went to St Lucia, where on October 31st, Nate perished in a waterskiing accident.

The donation goal was surpassed by the two GoFundMe accounts that were created to assist with funeral costs; one page raised more than $30,000 (£24,228), and the other more than $42,000 (£33,921).

“Nate was a wonderful husband, friend, son, and brother in Christ,” the bride said in her tribute on the GoFundMe page. Every person he encountered he was able to intelligently interact with, and those who were fortunate enough to have a relationship with him would be able to recount a litany of anecdotes about what an enjoyable, kind, and adventurous personality he was.

Three days following his wedding, Nate sadly passed away. There are no words to express how heartbreaking his story and his family must be. The fundraiser continues, “We sincerely beg for assistance to aid with the funeral cost and family trip.

A mutual acquaintance introduced Nate and Mariana, according to their wedding website.

Both events were inundated with consoling remarks from donors. “Words cannot express how we feel about your tragic loss,” one person stated. As Nate pursued his medical career, Charlene relished the privilege of working with him at her office. He was exceptional as a person and as a future medical practitioner. The world has lost something terrible.

“Grant him eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him,” read a different message. With God’s grace, may all the loyal departed’s souls rest in peace. Indeed. “Nate was a great person with such joy,” a third person said.

Heather Kuhlman, the late groom’s mother, wrote a memorial on Facebook.

“Everyone was completely shocked and speechless when Nate passed away,” she wrote.

By God’s favor, we are safe. Though it’s really difficult and unpleasant, we are living day by day, one minute at a time.

She continued, “I know Nathaniel is very much alive in heaven and will be praying for us. I am sad that he is no longer here with us.”

“While we bring Nate home, please remember us in your prayers.”

In the days that followed her son’s passing, Heather acknowledged on Facebook that an autopsy had been done.

There are currently no available details regarding the sad tragedy.

In December of last year, the couple got engaged in Utah’s Zion National Park.

The final, painful images posted on Mariana and Nate’s Facebook sites highlight their impending nuptials.

The last photo that Nate shared was of his proposal.
