Reports that a 13-year-old girl was sexually abused during a Scottish Premiership game between Dundee and Rangers have prompted British police to launch an inquiry.

The Bob Shankly stand, where away fans are seated, is where the alleged incident is said to have happened.

The Rangers team bus got stuck in traffic last Wednesday, November 1, which caused a 45-minute delay in the football game at Dundee’s Dens Park, better known as the Scot Foam Stadium.

The match was subsequently postponed for eighteen minutes after a huge number of flares set off by the visiting supporters set off fire alarms within the stadium.

Scotland police acknowledged that they were looking into the reported sex attack.

“We are conducting inquiries following an allegation of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl which occurred at Dens Park in Dundee on Wednesday, November 1, 2023,” a spokesperson stated.

According to Dundee FC, the club will assist the police department with their inquiry in every way.
