A man who smacked a baby in the face while robbing a Bedlington store has been the target of an urgent manhunt.
According to the police, the individual did not pay for the goods he took from a Spar store in Northumberland town on September 13 at 10.05 a.m.
He saw a woman outside the neighborhood post office with her seven-month-old child as he was leaving the scene.
The infant suffered face injuries after the man hit him and fled.
Authorities have now released a CCTV image of a man who was present and could help with the inquiry.
The individual, or anyone who knows him, was requested to call the Northumbria Police with any information.
