Detectives in Kiambu County have found a variety of Kenya Power equipment that is thought to have been vandalized and is worth Sh11 million.

Following a raid at a scrap metal yard in the Denderu area owned by a man named Patrick King’ori who has since disappeared, a recovery was made last night.

Among the retrieved pieces were transformer fuses, pilon bindings, transformer laminations, transformer shells, high tension cables, and other damaged equipment from power lines.

During the operation, one suspect, identified as Florence Kariuki, 30, was detained as efforts to apprehend the primary suspect are stepped up.
