In India, there is outrage when police officials were seen on video tossing the body of a road accident victim into a canal.
The three uniformed police officers are seen in the viral footage taking the bleeding victims to a bridge barrier.
The officers in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar State are then seen pushing the body over the edge into the waters below.
The video, which was posted on Sunday, October 8, 2023, quickly went popular on social media.
Rakesh Kumar, a Senior Superintendent of Police in Muzaffarpur district, stated that the cops made a serious mistake and were suspended as a result.
He claims, however, that the accident victim was seriously wounded after being smashed by a fast truck, and that they only tossed the bottom half of the body.
“It was the body of an elderly man whose identity has yet to be determined.” According to local media, “the upper half was sent for a post-mortem, but the lower half was badly mangled, so they threw it in the canal.”
