Following the increase of violence in the region, UEFA has postponed all matches planned to take place in Israel over the next two weeks.
So far, at least 700 people have died as a result of the fighting.
Israel was scheduled to play Switzerland in European Championship qualifying Group I on Thursday, but the game at Tel Aviv’s Bloomfield Stadium will not go place.

The governing body of European football has also canceled an Under-17 mini-tournament involving Israel, Belgium, Gibraltar, and Wales, which was scheduled to take place from Wednesday to October 17.
‘UEFA will continue to closely monitor the situation and will maintain touch with all teams concerned before making decisions on new dates and any adjustments to other scheduled fixtures,’ added UEFA.
‘UEFA will consider whether Israel can participate in their Euro 2024 qualifier against Kosovo in Prishtina in the following days.’
