Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition has written to Nairobi police to inform them of Monday’s protest.
The letter was dated March 17, 2023, and was addressed to the Officer Commanding Station, Nairobi Central Police Station.
“We hereby notify you that on Monday, March 20, 2023, we will hold a procession within the Nairobi metropolitan area,” said the letter.
“Could you please provide us with security for the same?”
The letter was signed by Wycliffe Oparanya, the chairman of the Azimio Executive Council and the Deputy Party Leader of the ODM.
Azimio has assured everyone that the upcoming mass protest against the Kenya Kwanza government will be peaceful.
