The 22-year-old woman who perished in Titanic Dam, Juja, in Kiambu County, along with a married businessman, has finally been identified.
Her name is Fridah Kamuyu, and she attended Mount Kenya University in the past.
Late last year, she received her degree from the university in Thika.
On Thursday, Fridah’s family was able to identify her body.
It had lain there for more than a week.
Mary Wamuyu, the deceased’s sister, posted condolences on social media.
Rest comfortably, she wrote.
Tirus Maina, a married businessman, and Fridah were having fun when their car crashed into the Titanic dam.
Another scenario authorities are considering is that Maina was inebriated and instead of reversing the car, drove into the dam either accidentally or on purpose and sank.
