Francis Atwoli, the secretary-general of the Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU), has urged Kenyans to vote for Raila Odinga in the August presidential election.
If Kenyans choose William Ruto as their country’s fifth president, according to Atwoli, they will be in serious trouble.
Atwoli stated in a statement on Wednesday that he has been repeating since 2014 that Ruto should never be Kenya’s president.
The rationale for this is that he is already a senior government employee because he is a DP. However, he exploited his position and asked a subordinate officer to give certain people government contracts, according to Atwoli.
If Ruto wins, I won’t have serenity, thus Raila’s victory will save my life, said Atwoli.
Atwoli made the comments while accompanying Raila Odinga’s wife, Mama Ida Odinga, and Kakamega county governor Wycliffe Oparanya on a series of Azimio campaigns in Luhyaland.
