The two reportedly burnt the feet of the young boys on May 24, 2022 at approximately 11 p.m. at Kaptimbor estate in Baringo County, accusing them of stealing cakes worth Ksh.80 from the bakery they operate, according to Justice Idagwa.

The Pastor rejected the allegations and begged with the court to release him on bail, claiming that they had been held in police custody since May 25, 2022.

The second accused, Kipkoros, testified in court that he was not responsible for the event and that he should be released.

The prosecution, lead by Casmir Obiero, opposed to the defense request, claiming that the case was of public interest and that they required two additional days to consider the bail terms.

After hearing both parties, Senior Magistrate Idagwa allowed the prosecution two further days until the court decides on the bail motion on June 2, 2022.

Kipkoros objected to the magistrate ruling and pleaded to be released on bond saying he was suffering in the police cells.
