Former NBA player Dwyane Wade has discussed with his wife Gabrielle Union dividing expenses 50/50 in public.
The American actress stated last month that she and Wade normally share expenses 50/50 while also admitting some financial insecurities.
More information concerning the former basketball star’s and his wife’s financial arrangements have now been revealed.
Wade was asked about his wife’s remark while on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay show. He then went on to explain the reasoning for the choice.
Dwyane Wade said, “I haven’t given no color to this, but it’s thinkpieces going around about me as a man,” before Sharpe lightly ribbed him about it.
“Let’s discuss it. So, the entire 50/50 idea is explained, and I now know what it implies. It implies that you receive a portion of everything in life while I receive a portion. This stuff will be put together, and we’ll try to make 100. You understand that’s not how things work in our relationship? Everyone believes in the 50/50 rule and says, “Hey, if he’s getting a sandwich, you’ve got to put 50% on that!”

“My wife is responsible for 20 to 50 things. When I say that, I’m referring to the fact that she has a mother, sisters, a father, and a lot of other responsibilities. You are aware of what she does.
