Eden Hazard, a former Chelsea and Real Madrid player, has claimed that he ‘does not miss playing football’ after putting up his boots at the beginning of October.

On Monday night, October 30, the Belgian, who was released by Real Madrid earlier this summer, walked the red carpet at the 2023 Ballon d’Or event.

The 32-year-old discussed life after retirement and admitted to spending time with his family.

When asked how he was enjoying life after football, he told TNT Sports, ‘It’s fantastic. It’s ideal. In the kids, I’m loving life and family.

‘I can do whatever I want, and it’s a great existence,’ she says.

Hazard was left without a club after his contract with Real Madrid was canceled after only 76 appearances for Los Blancos.

‘Of course,’ he answered when asked if he still watched football. I have children. They participate in football.

‘When I can, I watch it on TV. I do other things as well, but I don’t miss playing football right now. Let’s see what happens in a few months.’

The Belgian international scored 110 goals in 352 games for Chelsea, with his best Ballon d’Or finish coming in 2015, when he finished eighth.

Hazard revealed his choice to resign in greater depth following his retirement earlier this October.

‘I had always said that I would stop as soon as I didn’t have enjoyment on the pitch anymore. ‘I didn’t want to go elsewhere and play for money,’ he told L’Avenir.

‘It was the finest choice. I was tired of training… And I was no longer playing. The choice was straightforward.

‘You can’t explain everything in life. I am content with myself. I’m content. I have so many interests outside of football that I was able to make a calm decision.’
