The musician, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, 23, started posting pictures of bats as his distinctive emoji, which sparked the accusations.
Rema dispelled the rumors by posting on his Instagram Stories.
He advised his followers, referred to as Ravers, to reject the assertion.
