Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has changed her mind about the position of Prime Cabinet Secretary’s Spouse.

This comes after he revealed that his wife Tessie Musalia’s office spent no public funds on charitable activities, despite the fact that the office was established by President William Ruto’s government to supplement the work of the First and Second Ladies.

Mudavadi stated during a people’s dialogue festival organized by the Centre for Multiparty Democracy (CMD) that the office would continue to operate because it assists the needy in the community.

Mudavadi was responding to allegations that the newly established Office of the Spouse of the Prime Cabinet Secretary squandered public funds.

“There has been no public expenditure on Tessie Musalia’s office, and I don’t see any public expenditure occurring.”

“We will not stop supporting other people who are in need through charitable efforts but I am very clear that it will not be at the expense of the public funds,” Mudavadi stated.

According to Mudavadi, the office was not run by the government, and Tessie Musalia did charity work when he wasn’t in government.

“I understand that such activities are not conducted by the government. We made social and philanthropic interventions.

“Whether I was in government or not, Mrs. Musalia Mudavadi was involved in this process,” the Prime Secretary explained.
