Ray J has asked a court to reject his divorce petition from wife Princess Love following their recent reconciliation.
According to TMZ, the 42-year-old singer filed legal documents in Los Angeles on Thursday to halt the divorce process.
Ray J, real name William Ray Norwood Jr., stated his intention to’start fresh’ with Princess, 38, on Instagram in January while celebrating his birthday with her in Las Vegas.
‘I needed to get my wife back and start over. ‘I love my family!!,’ he said in an all-caps message, coupled with a video tour of his hotel suite and a song he sang to himself.
He also promised in the caption that he would ‘fight over and over’ for his family and the happiness of his children.
Princess Love and Ray married in 2016 and have two children: Melody, four, and Epik, three.
Ray J filed for divorce in October 2021, after attempting to dissolve their marriage in September 2020.
Princess filed for divorce for the first time in May 2020, shortly after they had a violent argument in Las Vegas.
Ray J launched his debut album Anything You Want in 1997, but he didn’t become a household name until a sex tape he made with then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, 42, became public a decade later.
In addition to This Ain’t a Game in 2001, Raydiation in 2005, and All I Feel in 2008, he has released three studio albums.
Ray J has also appeared in TV shows such as Love & Hip-Hop and Celebrity Big Brother, as well as films such as Sharknado 3 and Slasher Party.
