In an unexpected turn of events, former prime minister Raila Odinga and deputy president William Ruto have been defeated by Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah in terms of true supporters.
The Wajackoyah campaign is the only one that has not engaged in voter bribery at the level of the presidential election, according to a report published by Haki Africa.
Executive Director Hussein Khalid said during a press conference in Nairobi that a grassroots assessment had found that Wajackoyah had not provided any incentives to the youth during their campaign, but that they simply adored him and his contentious platform.
