According to a new poll conducted by Statistics Kenya, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is already in the State House bedroom, awaiting inauguration as Kenya’s fifth president and next Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces in August.

Raila Odinga and his running companion, Martha Karua, received 55.4 percent of the vote, while Deputy President William Ruto and his running mate, Rigathi Gachagua, received 37.1 percent.

Raila Odinga defeated William Ruto in seven of Kenya’s eight regions.

Ruto only defeated Raila Odinga in his political neighborhood, the Rift Valley.

Surprisingly, Raila defeated Ruto in the Mt Kenya area, with Baba receiving 52% of the vote to Ruto’s 47%.

This is a positive indication for Raila Odinga, as the election is less than 70 days away. Kenyans will vote on August 9th.

Raila Odinga’s meteoric surge in popularity is claimed to be fueled by Martha Karua.
