Her family has verified the death of a British girl kidnapped by Hamas militants in Gaza.

Yahel, 13, was transferred from Kibbutz Be’eri in southern Israel and across the border into the besieged zone on October 7 when her home became the site of a Hamas-organized killing.

According to the BBC, she is the sixth confirmed casualty from the United Kingdom in the battle.

Her mother Lianne, who was born in Bristol, was also slain, and her sister Noiya, 16, and father Eli are still missing.

Six British people were killed in Hamas’ attack on Israel, according to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, with a further ten still missing.

Speaking in Parliament, he said there are worries that some of those still missing were slain in the incident.

Lianne’s family said on Monday that she was a “beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend who enriched the lives of all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.”

‘She lived a great life, and the grieving family and friends she leaves behind will be sorely missed,’ they said.
