You can’t keep a lie going for very long – remember how NDINDI NYORO battled to defend RUTO’s lies when he was held down by Citizen TV’s AYUB ABDIKADIR?

Yesterday, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro struggled to defend President William Ruto’s lies.

Citizen TV anchor Ayub Abdikadir chastised Ndindi Nyoro for what he called the Kenya Kwanza government’s “double standards” on the high cost of living.

Abdikadir questioned why Ruto’s administration initially criticized previous President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime for failing to address the country’s economic crisis, instead blaming Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

However, after taking office, Ruto has softened his attitude and conceded that the protracted conflict has harmed Kenya’s economic stability.

“Isn’t it ironic that your campaign team did not hold this position in the months leading up to August 2022?” Indeed, the president indicated (at the time) that the past government should not blame Kenya’s economic crisis on the Russia-Ukraine war, but a UDA MP sits here and claims that the invasion had an impact. “What’s with the double standards?” The news anchor posed for a picture.

“What they did then versus what we are doing now is the distinguishing factor,” Nyoro responded.

Abdikadir pushed further, claiming that Nyoro’s team claimed in the months running up to the election that the war had no impact on the country and asked the then-government, led by President Uhuru Kenyatta, to address the fundamental issue.

In his defense, Nyoro acknowledged the impacts of the war but maintained that their resolutions on the subject distinguished the current and previous regimes.

“The fact of the matter is that Russia and Ukraine are the number one exporters of wheat and edible oils to other countries,” Nyoro added.

“However, you rejected the effects. “Did you or didn’t you?” Abdikadir inquired.

“The distinguishing factor is the difference between what they did and what we’re doing.” They subsidized consumption, while we subsidize productivity. You’ll notice that it has a spiral effect in terms of multiplying productivity. On that basis, we are targeting the expense of living, not making foolish claims,” Nyoro defended his boss.

Nyoro accused Kenyatta of simply paying lip service to Kenyans by neglecting to pay subsidies and shifting the responsibility to his successor.
