Miguna Miguna, a controversial lawyer and barrister, has stated that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga should withdraw from active politics.
Miguna stated in a social media post on Wednesday that Raila should use his retirement to apologize to the millions of Kenyans he has duped.
The ‘General’ went on to say that the former Premier had lied to Kenyans for more than 30 years and that he owed them forgiveness.
“Retire and accept responsibility for 30 years of treachery, betrayal, opportunism, cowardice, and conmanship,” Miguna stated.
Miguna, a former aide to Raila when he was Prime Minister, has emerged as one of his harshest detractors.
His statements came shortly after Raila declared Monday, March 20, a public holiday.
He stated that this is to allow Azimio supporters to go to engage in the mass action against what he called an illegitimate government.
“In the name of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition, I now declare today that Monday, March 20, will be a public holiday,” Raila stated.
