Kung’u Muigai, a cousin of President Uhuru Kenyatta, has apologized to the president for allegedly criticizing him on live television for endorsing ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.

According to reports, Kung’u asserted that Uhuru’s support for Raila violated an oath made by the GEMA people in 1969, when they swore never to let Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and his family to rule the nation.

Kung’u apologized to Uhuru for making him feel bad and claimed that his comments had been misinterpreted.

According to the patron of the Kikuyu National Council of Elders, he always had access to the president and it was never his goal to address or expose him in the media.
