On Tuesday, Citizen TV was compelled to sever a panelist’s remarks after he criticized former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s reputation.
On Tuesday night, citizen TV and many regional TV stations hosted Raila Odinga and Martha Karua as they discussed their platform.
In response to Raila and Karua’s interview, political analyst Oliver Kipchumba accused Raila Odinga of being in a “handshake Government” and cited his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta as one of the reasons why he avoided answering the topic about the public debt.
Aside from that, Kipchumba accused the panelists of lowering the standard, being kind with the presidential candidate from Azimio and his running mate, Martha Karua, and allowing them to sidestep important issues like the high cost of living and battling corruption.
The host, Waihiga Mwaura, was compelled to stop Kipchumba from misrepresenting Raila and Karua’s interview as a result.
