On Tuesday, Wajackoyah even asserted that William Ruto and Raila Odinga, the two front-runners for the presidency, were trying to convince him to join their team. He added that he is concentrating on his campaign for the State House and that he will not join any of them.
On the other hand, Jubilee Vice-Chairman David Murathe claimed on Wednesday that he is pressuring presidential hopeful Raila Odinga to adopt Wajackoyah’s platform, particularly his views on cultivating medical marijuana.
Murathe mentioned that several African nations had turned to bhang for export in a TV interview.
He claimed that many Kenyans are finding the idea of cultivating bhang appealing, and that young people in particular are showing a significant interest in it. If Raila wins the president, he will be urged to legalize bhang, he stated.
“I agree with Wajackoyah’s views on marijuana. We are even requesting that Raila take marijuana legalization into account because it is profitable, according to Murathe.
Murathe, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, added that William Ruto of the UDA should be concerned since Wajackoyah is gaining support in the presidential contest.
Wajackoyah is not a concern for us.
Since they are appealing to individuals who are not questioning what is being stated, the DP’s corner is something about which concern should be expressed.
Because they are appealing to that generation, they should be very concerned.
According to Wajackoyah, “They are appealing to folks who are not genuinely questioning some of these things.”
