Jomo Gecaga, the former personal assistant and nephew of retired president Uhuru Kenyatta, is the target of a child support lawsuit brought by former Citizen TV journalist Anne Kiguta.

Despite being a wealthy guy with numerous firms in various economic areas, the seasoned media personality claims that Jomo has neglected his parental duties.

She wants Sh 2.7 million in maintenance per month till the children are 18 years old.

Alternately, she requests an order requiring Gecaga to deposit Sh 413 million as maintenance charges to cover the children’s regular and irregular expenses until they reach the age of 18.

The court was informed by Kiguta that Gecaga and she wed in 2015.

In 2016, they received the blessing of twins.

In 2018, he neglected his responsibilities and family.

The children have been depending on their granddad ever since.

They are presently being homeschooled since they have apparently not received a formal education since 2020.

She contends that while they were residing in Runda, Gecaga had introduced them to a high quality of living.

Gecaga, who has dual citizenship with Kenya and England, is listed as the biological father of her two children in the court documents.

According to the lawsuit papers, he also took on parenting duties for her teenage daughter from a prior relationship.

According to reports, Gecaga stopped paying the rent, and Anne Kiguta and her children were forced out of their luxurious home on a half-acre plot of property in a gated enclave in one of the United Nations diplomatic zones.

He had a variety of skilled nannies, housekeepers, security officers, chefs, chauffeurs, and security to pick the children up from and leave them off at school.

He used to pay rent every month in the amount of Ksh 555,555.

She claims that in order to protect her children’s emotional needs, a particular lifestyle must be maintained for them.

It will be heard on July 11.
