Seth Panyako, a former United Democratic Alliance Vice Chairman, has disclosed what President William Ruto told him when he rejected Finance Bill 2023.
Panyako, the Secretary General of the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN), resigned last week in protest over the Finance Bill 2023.
Panyako stated that before resigning, he spoke with President William Ruto, the UDA party’s leader.
He claimed that President William Ruto asked him to resign after he stated that the Finance Bill 2023 is repressive and will raise the cost of living.
“Rais Ruto alinipigia simu akaniambia nijiondoe kwa chama,” Panyako said on Tuesday.
Panyako stated that the majority of Kenyans oppose the law and that only United Democratic Alliance (UDA) MPs are lying to the President that the bill has the support of all Kenyans.
