Prof. Fred Ogola, a controversial academic and political analyst who served as senior lecturer at Strathmore University, has been sacked.
Ogola said that he was fired for criticizing President Ruto while speaking on a local TV station.
On Twitter, he has been criticizing Ruto for biased state appointments and poor government policies.
Ogola said that Ruto had given the go-ahead to fire him.
Dr. Fred Ogola stated, “I was fired from Strathmore the other day; it has nothing to do with performance, but I heard reports that because I have been making comments against the President, so he must have instructed Strathmore to remove me. The truth will come out as we go through the process.
He taught strategy and decision-making as a senior lecturer at Strathmore Business School.
He has a doctorate in management science and innovation from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, a master’s degree in management science and innovation from the same institution, an MBA in strategic management from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a bachelor’s degree in social sciences and psychology from Uganda Martyrs University, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Pontificia Università Urbaniana in Rome, Italy.
