President William Ruto is no longer joking with the Azimio minions.

This comes just days after he fired Azimio blogger Pauline Njoroge from the Kenya Tourism Regulatory Authority, just a day after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga launched a countrywide protest against Ruto’s government.

According to a Gazette Notice, Ruto, through Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife, and Heritage Peninah Malonza, revoked the appointment of Njoroge and four other board members.

Njoroge was to be a member of authority until her three-year term expired in August.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed her to the board in August 2020.

Her appointment sparked outrage among Kenyans, who questioned her suitability for the position.

This after Kenyans realized that she had earlier made an online post about Nairobi National Park being ‘useless’.

Later, it was reported that the CS had revoked her appointment, but Njoroge denied this and stated that she had been serving at the Authority.

Njoroge was a staunch supporter of Uhuru and was instrumental in Raila Odinga’s campaign.

Despite her position on the board, she has been a vocal critic of President William Ruto’s administration, particularly of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Kevin Muasya, Najma Ismail, Alai Lenana Momoi, and Isaac Muchiri Njangu were also evicted.
