Francis Gachuri, a top reporter for renowned Citizen TV, resigned from Royal Media Services (RMS) to accept a new position in President William Ruto’s administration.

Gachuri was appointed head of communications in the Ministry of the Interior and National Coordination on Wednesday.

Reliable sources at Citizen TV and Inooro Tv reported that Gachuri said goodbye to his coworkers as he prepared to start his new job in the ministry run by Prof. Kithure Kindiki.

In his new post, Gachuri will be in charge of developing, implementing, and assessing communication strategies that support the Ministry’s effective positioning and trust-building initiatives.

At the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination, he will also oversee all internal and external communication channels.

Gachuri worked at Citizen TV in a number of positions, including senior political reporter, editor, and News Gang pundit.

While working as a newscaster for Inooro TV, Gachuri also presented a show called Kiririmbi, which aired from 8 to 9 p.m.
