Religious leaders from the Mt. Kenya region have come under fire from renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, who claims they sold their souls to the devil.
William Ruto, the deputy president, is running for president in August with the endorsement of the majority of the local religious leaders from Mount Kenya.
Using the phrase “Mpesa Bishops,” The majority of the mountain’s religious leaders, according to Mutahi, a blogger for the State House, have mortgaged their prophetic voices for cash.
Since William Ruto is not an atheist like former prime minister Raila Odinga and his running mate, Martha Karua, the majority of religious leaders from the religion have been urging their followers to vote for him in the August election.
