RAILA ODINGA is severely criticized by MOSES KURIA for asserting that there won’t be an election if there isn’t a manual register in August.

Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for the Azimio One Kenya Alliance, has come under fire from Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria for claiming there won’t be an election in August if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) doesn’t use manual register during the election scheduled for August 9th.

Speaking on Wednesday in Githunguri, Kiambu County, Raila claimed that the commission’s failure to have a manual backup to the electronic voter identification was a prescription for disaster.

“It will be simple to determine the number of voters at each polling place with a manual register. There are no records left in the electronic registry. For this reason, we insist that each voting place need have a manual register.

“It cannot be negotiated. We’re instructing the IEBC that on election day, they must have both a manual voter registration and biometric voter identification. “If this doesn’t happen, there won’t be an election,” Raila declared.

However, in response to Raila’s assertion, Kuria reprimanded Raila by asserting that his inclusion on the vote is not required.

Kuria has informed him that he cannot thwart an election, and that everything will go as scheduled.

For Raila to say no manual register no elections is an insecurity issue. In his capacity, he cannot stop an election, even William Ruto cannot stop an election, It is not mandatory that Raila Odinga is on the ballot, he boycotted in 2017 but we have a president,” Kuria stated on Facebook.
