Residents in Nyandarua County may be seen in a video turning down aid that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration has provided.
According to reports, Uhuru has ordered county commissioners, principal secretaries, cabinet secretaries, and senior Jubilee party figures to travel the nation distributing emergency supplies in order to promote the presidential campaign of former prime minister Raila Odinga.
Additionally, Uhuru gave chiefs instructions to provide food aid to locals and demand that they support Raila Odinga or face dismissal.
Residents of Nyandarua, on the other hand, rejected the relief supplies on Wednesday, saying they didn’t want anything related to President Uhuru Kenyatta or the Azimio alliance.
Jeremiah Kioni, a member of parliament from Ndaragwa, was also forewarned by the locals about being exploited by President Uhuru Kenyatta to split the vote in the Mt. Kenya region.
Since Nyandarua is Deputy President William Ruto’s political stronghold and anyone who stands in his way will be exiled there in August, they advised Kioni to get ready to leave.
