Ngunjiri Wambugu, a member of parliament from Nyeri Town, is one of the Azimio La Umoja leaders who have been promoting former prime minister Raila Odinga’s presidential candidacy in the Mt Kenya area.
Sabina Chege has been traveling the Mt Kenya region preaching the Azimio gospel alongside Kanini Kega (Kieni), Jeremiah Kioni (Ndaragwa), and Muranga Woman Representative, along with Ngunjiri.
The group has also been spreading misinformation about Deputy President William Ruto and advising locals not to support his August presidential run.
Ngunjiri Wambugu appears to have changed his mind and supported the DP’s campaign on Thursday, after Ruto unveiled his audacious platform.
Ngunjiri praised Ruto’s manifesto on Twitter and remarked on how well-written and incisive the DP was.
In order to defeat DP Ruto in August, he added, Raila and his team must be very strategic.
