In an operation carried out by detectives from Starehe in Huruma, Nairobi County, over the weekend, eight individuals were detained and drugs were seized.
Over 10 kilograms of marijuana, 450 rolls of the same drug, weighing scales, daggers, and gas cylinders thought to have been stolen were found during the Saturday night search that was carried out as a result of a tip from the public.
A car that was being utilized to transport the extremely addictive substance throughout the city was also seized.
The seven suspects, who have been identified as Alex Murimi, Woche Sipa, Clinton Odinga, Kevin Kimani, Mohamed Wako, John Chege, and Hassan Yussuf, are accused of trafficking in illegal substances, having illegal drugs in their possession, and planning to commit a crime.
