Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken candidly about some of the issues he originally faced when playing for Al-Nassr of the Saudi Pro League in December.

The Portuguese striker moved to Saudi Arabia for a significant sum of money after his contract with Manchester United was terminated in November as a result of his shocking Piers Morgan interview.

The five-time Champions League and Ballon d’Or winner scored five goals in his first three league games while living in the Middle East, but he later said that getting off to a slow start in the oil-rich country.

While working at LiveScore, he stated, “The biggest difference I have found in Saudi is obviously the heat and adapting schedules to train later in the day when it is cooler.”

But I’ve grown to genuinely accept that by this point. The supporters here have been fantastic to me, encouraging me and my followers to keep going on this incredible trip.

Every league and nation is unique, and I’m pleased to have played in three different European leagues (and won championships in each of them), he continued.

Training sessions are commonly held in the evening in Saudi Arabia, where scorching desert temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees, according to sources.

The 38-year-old has switched from daytime to nighttime training as a result, when the cooler weather permits players to spend more time outside. This has pushed Ronaldo to get used to a new living regimen.

With 16 league games for Al-Nassr, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus attacker concluded his first season in the Saudi league with 14 goals.
