NANI, a former Manchester United striker, has left Melbourne Victory after failing to score a goal.

Nani, a former winger for Manchester United and Portugal, has left Melbourne Victory after just 10 league games, the Australian team announced on May 31.

When the 36-year-old signed last year, it was regarded as one of the A-League’s biggest coups in years. but went without scoring before suffering a significant knee injury that kept him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Victory issued a statement saying, “The club would like to thank Nani for his contribution and wishes him the best for the future.”

Nani, who departed United in 2015, came from the Italian club Venezia after residing in the US, Spain, and Turkey.

Nani played 112 times for Portugal and helped United win the Premier League.

Melbourne Victory placed 11th out of 12 teams in the A-League standings.
