Despite his continuous disagreement with Governor James Orengo, Siaya County Deputy Governor William Oduol has stated that he remains a faithful member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Oduol disputed charges that he is being influenced by the Kenya Kwanza administration in an interview with Citizen TV on Friday, reiterating that Raila Odinga remains his party’s leader.
“I am a dedicated member of the Orange Democratic Movement, and I have not switched sides,” Oduol stated.
Oduol also confirmed that people from Siaya County and Luo Nyanza have openly joined Kenya Kwanza, but he insisted that he is not one of them.
The Deputy Governor also stated that he will continue to battle corruption in Siaya County and will not retire, as certain ODM officials have requested.
“As long as I stand with the people and the truth, I am content and prepared for the consequences,” Oduol said.
