The Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung’wah, has revealed plans by the Kenya Kwanza government to test a widely held belief that if Azimio Leader Raila Odinga is arrested, Kenya will burn like hell.
This comes after he revealed that plans were in the works to arrest Raila for leading destructive protests.
Ichung’wah, who was vehemently defended by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua against Azimio’s attacks, argued that if Raila was arrested, nothing would happen.
Ichung’wah claims that top Azimio leaders, including parliamentary leaders Opiyo Wandayi and Stewart Madzayo, have been arrested and nothing has happened, and that the same will happen if Raila is arrested.
He stated that the country could no longer be held hostage by Odinga’s blackmail.
“If blackmail is allowed to continue, it never ends.” I know there is widespread concern that if he is arrested, temperatures will rise, rendering the country uncontrollable.
“I want to tell you, without fear of contradiction, that if Odinga is arrested, nothing will happen to Kenya,” Ichung’wah said.
