Undera North Millie Odhiambo, a member of parliament, made the sensational allegation that Kimani Ichungwah, the majority leader of the National Assembly, is gay.
The ODM lawmaker questioned why Ichungwah is overly preoccupied with former President Uhuru Kenyatta while speaking on the floor of the house.
“Mr. Speaker, I want to say that because of his obsession with Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, my good friend Hon. Kimani Ichungwa needs to reveal whether he belongs to the LGBTQ community. Buana, that person is a man. Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta shouldn’t be your main focus, she advised.
Her comments come at a time when the Kenya kwanza government has been blaming the predecessor of President William Ruto for the current state of the nation’s economy.
Ichungwah asserted over the weekend that Uhuru was the main supporter of Raila Odinga’s Azimio demonstrations.
The Kikuyu MP claimed that Uhuru was working in secret to pay for the demonstrations that Raila was organizing to protest the high cost of living and electoral injustices.
He asserted that Uhuru was still in denial and was having trouble accepting President William Ruto’s victory in 2022.
