A 35-year-old man is being held by Kirinyaga police on suspicion of killing his 65-year-old father in Ndia village.

George Muriithi Mutero was apprehended on Wednesday in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County, after fleeing the scene of the heinous crime.

According to family members, the suspect stabbed his father over ten times with a kitchen knife before going missing.

He was said to be a drug addict.
