Raphael Tuju, a former secretary general of the Jubilee Party, has shared information on his final encounter with the late Prof. George Magoha.
Speaking yesterday at the late Magoha’s Lavington residence, Tuju said there were no signs of sickness when he last saw the former Education CS.
He disclosed that he had gone to Magoha’s house to help with burial arrangements for his late brother, Prof. Richard Alex Nyabera, who had died in the US in December.
I had no idea that the reason I would go back to the home the following time was due of his passing, Tuju stated.
“As a colleague, I am heartbroken by the death. It’s a very trying time for the family, so I pray for them,” he continued.
On January 24, Magoha passed away while receiving medical care at the Nairobi Hospital.
The late Magoha had a premonition of his death, and he reportedly told his wife Dr. Barbara Magoha that “his time had come and he was delighted everything was done” according to his close friend Professor Walter Mwanda.
Magoha passed away after collapsing four times, according to Mwanda.
“He collapsed, his son, a doctor, revived him, and 100 meters later, at the Nairobi Hospital’s casualty, he did so once more.
He was brought to the emergency room, where resuscitation took place but was unsuccessful, according to Mwanda.
