After Susan Kihika, a UDA candidate for governor of Nakuru County, and Tabitha Karanja, a UDA candidate for the Senate, failed to appear at his rally yesterday, Deputy President William Ruto campaigned by himself.
Speaking yesterday in Salgaa, Nakuru County, Ruto said that he was supposed to run for office with Kihika and Karanja, but that after their chopper became grounded, the two fell into logistical problems.
He continued by saying that he was compelled to alter his plans in order to avoid completely canceling the stopover.
“I was supposed to accompany her. We were supposed to meet in Kipchororo, but the weather prevented her chopper from flying.
