The husband of a recent beauty pageant contestant took the phrase “number-one fan” too far by losing all control of himself after learning that his wife had finished second in the competition.
On Saturday, May 27, at Brazil’s Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023, Emannuelly Belini, representing Várzea Grande, was about to be crowned when Nathally Becker’s husband rushed on stage, grabbed the crown from her, and slammed it to the ground.
He attempted to leave with his wife after picking up the crown once more and throwing it down, but was ultimately prevented by security.
After the incident, the event’s planners issued a statement confirming that Belini was indeed this year’s winner.
Additionally, they denounced Becker’s husband’s acts and stated that after the ordeal, the right legal action would be taken.
